The preferred savings product of the French recorded a negative inflow of 30 million euros. Some households refuse to invest more in unit-linked accounts, increasingly pushed by insurers to respond to negative rates.
2020 will therefore have been the year of the break between the French and life insurance. For the ninth consecutive month of the year, the benefits paid by insurers again exceeded the amounts collected by their networks.
According to figures from the French Insurance Federation (FFA) published on Christmas Eve, net inflows fell by 30 million euros in November. The French favorite savings product has never seen such a long period of decline.
